Timeless Reality

Written to Six-word Story Prompt: Leave

Left me last memory: your back.

Blizzards leave hearts frozen, easily broken.

Dying flames leave me scattered ashes.

Wicked waters grieve, what lies leave.

Saved from falling but left drowning.

I’d never leave– lies you weave.

If the daylight leaves, all do.

Left under ephemeral starlights, alone tonight.

What timeless reality? -People leave you.

Smiling moments leave sobbing memories. Life!

What if tomorrow I leave first?
